About us

June-2007-054Christiansen Lumber is a sawmill, planer/moulder, and firewood processing operation. It was established in 1999, and is located 4km northeast of Big River, Saskatchewan on the edge of the Saskatchewan provincial forest.

The provincial forest is our timber source, and all logging practices and reforestation are regulated by Saskatchewan government forestry regulations and environmental code. All harvested areas are reforested to ensure a healthy forest for future generations.

Most of our rough sawn products are white spruce, but we also saw jack pine, trembling aspen (poplar), birch, and tamarack, which usually end up in our value added finishing products, or firewood.

We saw our products with a band saw, so our "rough" lumber is actually very smooth and very precise.

Our market includes both retail and wholesale customers.
